People First of Georgia State Conference Registration

Registration Fee: People First of Georgia is proud to support chapters to attend the annual conference at a reduced rate by subsidizing conference registration for 100 members. For members awarded a subsidy the registration fee is $75. We ask that chapters do registration for its members. For non-members, or those not awarded a subsidy, the registration fee is $300.
Registration fee includes conference fee, hotel room for the night of Saturday, October 12, lunch and dinner on Saturday, October 12, and breakfast on Sunday, October 13. You are responsible for your own travel expenses and any room service purchased while attending.

1:30 pm | People First Congress We will start the Congress with each chapter walking in with their banner. We ask everyone to line up with their banner at 1:25. We will then invite every chapter to give a brief report about the projects the chapter has taken on during the past year. |
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm | Workshop Slot One (see request for workshop presenter) You will choose from one of the three workshops offered during this time slot. We ask that at least one member from each chapter attend the Vote Project Workshop. |
4:40 pm – 5:10 pm | Workshop Slot Two (see request for workshop presenter) You will choose from one of the three workshops offered during this time slot. |
5:10 pm – 6:00 pm | Break |
6:00 pm | Dinner |
6:30 pm | Speaker (TBA) |
7:00 pm | Keynote Speaker (TBA) |
7:30 pm | Break We ask everyone to please leave the main room so the hotel can set up for the dance. Also, we want everyone to change into their costumes! |

Griffin Area Resource Center, Inc. awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation
CARF International announced that the Griffin Area Resource Center, Inc. has been accredited for a period of three years for its Community Employment Services, Community Integration and Supported Living programs. The latest accreditation is the 3rd consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has awarded to the Griffin Area Resource Center.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
The Griffin Area Resource Center is a nonprofit organization located in Griffin, Georgia. It has been providing services to citizens of Spalding County and other surrounding counties for sixty years.

— CARF International announced that the Griffin Area Resource Center, Inc. has been accredited for a period of three years for its Community Employment Services: Employment Support and Job Development, Community Integration, Employee Development Services, Organizational Employment Services, and Supported Living programs.

The Griffin Area Resource Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization with offices at 931 Hamilton Boulevard. It has been providing services in the Spalding County and surrounding area since 1955.
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
